A podcast that handed the pulpit to people who do not believe. Thirteen episodes exist, and the premise was serious.
Upside down church takes religion, spirituality, and especially the Christian Church, and turns them over. Why? Because turning something upside down forces you to look at it from a different view. How? By letting non-believers be the preacher, the pastor, the priest.
Bryant hosts. On the feed he is credited as The Heretic, which is the sort of joke that stops being a joke about four minutes into the first real conversation.
This is an archive, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Thirteen episodes were published between February and May 2022. Nothing since.
They are here because the conversations hold up, not because a new one is coming on Tuesday. If it starts again, this page says so first.
Where to start
Two suggestions. Can you do church with a Non-Believer? is the longest and the one that proves the premise was serious. The Devil Does Advent is five short episodes and exactly as odd as it sounds.
